While virtualization provides many benefits, the ability to manage it from the core enterprise-wide management framework is still a missing component.

According to more than 250 enterprise chief information officers (CIOs):

• 80% would prefer to use enterprise-wide management tools
• 68% say it′s important to manage both VMware vSphere & Microsoft Hyper-V with a single console
• 49% cite a lack of visibility into the virtual environment as a delay to IT problem resolution
